The business park had 8 commercial tenants — a mix of professional services firms, a tech company, a light manufacturing unit and an accountancy practice. Most tenants were on residential-grade consumer broadband because their individual premises were considered too small to justify individual leased line quotes. Performance was poor, none had static IPs and the accountancy practice had experienced three lengthy outages in one year. Telexico surveyed the site and designed a private fibre network connecting all 8 units via an on-site distribution point. Civil works installed ducting from the external connection point through the building to each unit, with Telexico's own fibre cable pulled through. Average individual tenant cost is 38% lower than equivalent leased line pricing for individual installations. Two tenants who previously couldn't justify leased lines now have enterprise-grade connectivity they previously couldn't access individually. The tech company tenant cited the improved connectivity as a deciding factor in renewing their lease. The accountancy practice has experienced zero outages since installation. The landlord uses the private fibre infrastructure as a key selling point for vacant units.
