Business broadband for UK garages.Diagnostics, MOT systems, parts ordering — always live.
Modern garages run on connectivity. Diagnostic tools update online, MOT VTS systems need DVSA connectivity, parts catalogues live in the cloud, workshop management software talks to manufacturers. Our business broadband for garages keeps it all running, with WiFi that actually reaches the back of the workshop.
What we hear every week.
The frustrations behind why businesses search for business broadband for garages in the first place. If any of these feel familiar, the fix is straightforward.
"Diagnostic tool can't connect."
Modern diagnostics need online firmware updates and OEM database access. When the broadband flakes, the tool throws errors and a technician stands idle.
"MOT VTS connection drops mid-test."
DVSA's MOT VTS system is unforgiving about connectivity. Drop mid-test and the test fails, has to be restarted, customer waits, bay productivity tanks.
"WiFi doesn't reach the back of the workshop."
Reception router covers the office and reception desk. By the time you're at bay 4 with a tablet, no signal. Technicians revert to paper job cards. Workflow stalls.
"Parts ordering is slow and clunky."
Catalogues like CarSys, Autocat, Hellanet need responsive broadband. On a slow connection, ordering wheel bearings takes 10 minutes per part. Multiply that across a day, that's hours.
How we design garage broadband.
Site review covers your workshop layout, diagnostic kit, MOT bay if you're a VTS, parts ordering volume, and reception workflow. We size the connection (typically 100-300Mbps FTTP), design workshop-grade WiFi that reaches every bay (industrial APs with the right antenna pattern), add 4G/5G failover so MOT tests don't fail mid-test, and integrate properly with your garage management software (MAM, GA4, BookMyGarage, Tyresoft).
The Telexico approach to business broadband for garages.
Six things our customers consistently tell us matter.
Diagnostic tool connectivity
Snap-on, Autel, Launch, Bosch — all run cleanly on properly-sized business broadband. Firmware updates download fast, OEM databases stay responsive.
MOT VTS reliability
DVSA connection stays solid through every test. Failover catches outages without disrupting in-progress tests. Bay productivity protected.
Workshop-grade WiFi
Industrial APs designed for high-ceiling, metal-rich workshop environments. Tablets and tech work anywhere — reception, bay 1, bay 4, parts area.
Parts catalogue responsiveness
CarSys, Autocat, Hellanet, Manufacturer EPCs — all responsive on properly-sized broadband. Faster part identification, faster ordering, faster job turnaround.
4G/5G failover
Fibre cut doesn't take the garage offline. MOT tests continue, diagnostic tools keep working, parts orders go through.
CCTV bandwidth
Vehicle security and workshop CCTV protected with dedicated bandwidth allocation. Cameras stay live without slowing everything else.
Built around how garages actually work.
Workshops are different from offices — high ceilings, metal racking, oily environment, vehicles blocking WiFi paths, technicians roaming with tablets, MOT bays needing rock-solid connectivity. We design for that reality, not retrofit an office template. Single-bay independent to multi-site dealer group — same care, different scale.
How it works for businesses like yours.
Three real-world setups we deliver across the UK.
Single-bay MOT centre
150Mbps FTTP + dual industrial AP covering reception and bay + 4G failover protecting MOT testing. Diagnostic tools and parts ordering responsive throughout.
Multi-bay independent garage
300Mbps FTTP + 4-AP industrial WiFi mesh covering full workshop + dedicated bandwidth for CCTV + failover. Technicians work on tablets anywhere, parts ordering fast.
Main dealer or franchise
Higher-spec setup with manufacturer connection requirements, multiple LANs (showroom, workshop, service, parts), dedicated CCTV bandwidth, leased line if SLA-critical.
Engineered for UK workshops.
We work with independents, multi-bay garages and franchise dealers across the UK. Installed by our UK engineering team — proper cabling, proper APs, proper site survey. Supported by the same engineers. We understand garage operations because we've installed and supported dozens of them.
What you actually get from Telexico.
Honest about scope. No aggressive sales tactics, no surprise renewal jumps, no tier-1 call-centre triage. Real UK engineers, transparent pricing, one provider relationship across the stack.
UK-based provider
Wolverhampton-headquartered. Engineers cover the West Midlands daily; UK-wide install via our partner network. Real UK engineer support, UK data residency, UK contractual relationship — not US-routed SaaS.
Real engineer support
When you call Telexico, you reach someone who can actually fix things. Response SLA backed by real engineering capacity rather than call-centre headcount. Named account manager for ongoing customers.
Free infrastructure review
Every engagement starts with a no-obligation audit of your current setup. Honest recommendation — sometimes that's "stay with your current provider after negotiation." We'd rather be honest than oversell.
Transparent pricing
What you sign for is what you pay — including renewal. No teaser pricing that jumps 30-100% at year two. No mid-contract CPI shock. Predictable multi-year cost from day one.
One provider, one platform
Broadband, hosted VoIP, business WiFi, AI Receptionist, 4G/5G failover, CCTV consolidated onto one Telexico relationship. Single bill, single support number, single engineer when something needs attention.
Migration project-managed
Switching to Telexico isn't DIY. We handle contract audit, notice timing, ordering, parallel running, cutover, old-provider close-out. Customer-visible disruption typically measured in minutes.

Frequently asked questions
Will it work with my diagnostic tools?
Yes — Snap-on, Autel, Launch, Bosch, Delphi and most other major diagnostic platforms run on standard business broadband. We make sure firmware updates and OEM database queries stay responsive. Slow connections kill productivity here.
What about MOT VTS reliability?
Critical for VTS operations. We size the connection with MOT testing in mind and add failover so the DVSA connection stays solid. Mid-test outages cost you a test and a customer's time — failover prevents both.
Will WiFi actually reach my workshop?
Most domestic mesh kit doesn't — workshops have metal walls, high ceilings and vehicles blocking signal. We use industrial-grade APs designed for that environment. Surveyed before quoting, tested after install. Every bay has signal.
How fast does a garage actually need?
Small single-bay operation: 75-150Mbps usually plenty. Multi-bay with diagnostic tools, MOT VTS, parts ordering, CCTV: 200-300Mbps. Multi-site or main dealer with manufacturer connections: leased line territory. Sized from your actual operation.
Can you integrate with our garage management software?
We don't replace your garage management software — we provide the connectivity it runs on. MAM, GA4, BookMyGarage, Tyresoft, Autowork Online, MOTRACK and most other UK garage platforms run cleanly on our connections. We make sure the network supports them.
What about CCTV bandwidth?
Workshop CCTV typically uses on-site NVR with bandwidth only for remote viewing — fits comfortably within a properly-sized connection. Cloud-only CCTV (less common in garages) needs more upload — we size for it specifically.
Can you install around our operating hours?
Yes — most workshop installs we schedule out-of-hours or during quieter periods. We won't take a working day from you. Critical disruption is planned with you in advance.
